Marigold Kids are more than students—they’re compassionate, community-minded young learners who embrace the joy of helping others. From showing kindness to their peers to participating in activities that uplift their communities, Marigold Kids grow into thoughtful, responsible individuals who make the world a better place. At Marigold Academy, we believe every child has the potential to shine, and we’re here to nurture that spark.
We cater to age 6 weeks+. We have Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten classrooms.
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
We never overcrowd our classrooms; we strive to create a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning and development. Our children to teacher ratios are generous and better than state requirement.
Our days provide structure for our kids while allowing for loads of fun, learning, exploration, and growth. While the daily routine is the same, the learning that takes place is varied to address our little learners.
We abide by all state cleaning requirements. In addition, our staff cleans all toys and high contact points throughout the day. At the end of each day, we have a professional cleaning company that cleans and disinfects the entire facility.
Yes, all our lead teachers are either certified, have obtained their CDA (Child Development Associate), or are currently pursuing CDA. Equally as important our teachers come with a wealth of knowledge and experience in early childhood development and continue their learning throughout the year via teacher training.
Our health policy abides by state and local township health department requirements. We always encourage parents to keep their child home if they are sick. However, if a child becomes ill while in our care, we refer to our sick policy, provided to our parents upon registration. Please contact our school for our detailed health policy.
Weather permitting, we aim to take the children out twice a day. We believe that the fresh air, sun, and outdoors are just as important for child development. Our outdoor playground is greater than 10,000 sqft, therefore we have ample space to take all our children out simultaneously, and not having to take turns with other groups in the school.
Yes, we do offer a sibling discount, which is 10% off the oldest child’s monthly tuition.
We have developed our own proprietary curriculum that addresses the whole child and is known for kindergarten readiness. We focus on a child’s cognitive, physical, and emotional development. We want children to be excited about learning as we prepare them to take the next steps in their development. Some of the areas we include in our curriculum are reading, writing, arts, math, science, foreign language, and sign language.
Yes, we train and certify all our teachers in CPR/First Aid/AED every two years. We also train our teachers in safety procedures, drills, and evacuations.

Hello! My name is Ms. Dolly, and I am the Director at Marigold Academy in Bloomfield. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree of science in social work, am a certified nursing assistant, and have an associate degree in child development. In the Philippines, I did government work before moving to The United States where I have worked with families and supervised daycare centers for over 10 years. I have been Marigold Academy for 25 years where I began my journey as a preschool teacher, then supervisor, until becoming director. I also co-create the Marigold Academy curriculum.
Working with children for over 3 decades has been such a rewarding experience that has helped me develop patience, compassion, confidence, commitment, and most importantly: a sense of humor! With my cheerful attitude and my laughter, I help children feel more relaxed and content.
Hi, my name is Ms. Christine, and I am the Supervisor at Marigold Academy in Bloomfield. I’ve been working with children for more than 40 years and I love every minute! I began my journey attending PCC in Paterson, NJ for nursing before becoming a mother and realizing I belonged in early childhood education. I worked in special education at North Jersey Developmental Center for 15 years before moving to Virginia. There, I worked as a head teacher for Kinder Care. Upon my move back to New Jersey, I continued working as a teacher at Marigold Academy for the last 28 years.
I feel this is my calling in life! I am filled with so much joy when helping children grow and complete their milestones. I get a rush just seeing them smile about little things that make them happy and feel important. I always remember that if we as teachers can make a difference in even one child’s life, they can be happy and enthusiastic and pass that energy on to other people throughout their lifetime. That will forever make a difference in our teaching as early childhood educators.
Hello families! My name is Ms. Lyn, and I am a Group Teacher at Marigold Academy in Bloomfield. I hold a bachelor’s degree of science in industrial education, majoring in home economics, from Technological University of the Philippines. I was an elementary school teacher for over 10 years before I moved to the United States in 2007.
I have been working at Marigold Academy for over 15 years. I love seeing how much growth someone can go through as time progresses. We are like a family here and that is why my job is so wonderful and why I smile on my way to work and on my way home. I am happy to be a part of this team and to help your child through their earliest learning experience. I’m thrilled to get to know your child and the families in my infant room!
Hello! My name is Ms. Stephanie cand I am the Assistant Director at Marigold Academy. I graduated from Berkeley College with a bachelor’s degree in fashion marketing and management but had a career change upon enrolling my eldest daughter at Marigold Academy almost a decade ago. I began as an infant teacher and worked my way up to the office to work side by side with the director, who I co-create the Marigold Academy curriculum with. I fell in love with the world of early childhood education!
Working with children has always been a dream of mine and Marigold Academy made that possible. Watching children thrive and grow into their own little people has been incredibly rewarding and I hope to continue spreading the Marigold Academy teaching philosophy of love, patience, and compassion for many years to come.
